New Medicare Cards Are Mailing Now

Medicare is currently in the process of mailing out new Medicare cards to all people with Medicare. On these cards, a Medicare Beneficiary Identifier (MBI) unique to you will replace your Social Security Number. This will help protect your identity. Find out more information here.

As long as your address is current, your new Medicare card will automatically come to you. Once received, destroy your old card right away. Remember, Medicare will never call you and ask for personal information in order to receive your new card and number.
